Alabama's Ace Austin Named SEC Freshman of the Week

The honor marks the freshman's first Southeastern Conference accolade of her career
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama women's basketball's Ace Austin was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. This marks the Spring Garden, Ala., native's first conference accolade of her collegiate career.
Austin scored a career-high 21 points in the Crimson Tide's 84-45 victory over Samford on Nov. 19, as all her points came off the bench in 30 minutes of action.
Ace Austin Notes
- Received her first SEC Freshman of the Week honor of the 2025-26 season
- Recorded a career-high 21 points to go along with a team-high five assists in Alabama's 39-point win over Samford (Nov. 19)
- Collected her third double-figure game of the year in the Tide's 80-60 win over Harvard in the Pink Flamingo Championship after scoring 17 points in 26 minutes of play as a reserve.
- Became the first UA freshman to have consecutive double-digit games since teammate Essence Cody during the 2023-24 season.
- Currently averages 13.8 points per game, the third highest on the team.
