The UA junior won the top bracket in three sets
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Andrii Zimnokh highlighted the Alabama men's tennis team at the UTR PTT Tuscaloosa Tournament, winning the top bracket off a three-set victory.
Zimnokh defeated teammate Vit Kalina, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, for the win.
Zimnokh went undefeated in the tournament, winning five matches over the course of the week as Kalina won four matches.
Also competing, Alabama alum Damien Nezar finished group play undefeated but fell 6-3, 6-0 to Zimnokh in the semifinals. Brendan Loh and Jacob Olar also battled throughout the five-day event.
