- Alabama swept its season opening doubleheader against Georgia Tech (W, 5-2)Â and Alabama State (W, 4-0) on Jan. 18
- Roan Jones paced the Tide, winning both his doubles and singles matches during the dayÂ
- Additionally, Jones clinched the deciding point against both the Yellow Jackets and the Hornets
- Filip Planinsek and Andrii Zimnokh also won a pair of singles matches while Matias Ponce De Leon went undefeated in doubles alongside JonesÂ
- Alabama has three doubles pairings ranked after a strong fall semester
- Zimnokh and Zach Foster rank 34th nationally after the duo earned a spot at the ITA All-American Challenge (Sept. 21-27)
- Jones and Damien Nezar rank 40th nationally, while Jones and Zimnokh rank 90thÂ
- Jones also holds a singles ranking of 67th after the NCAA Singles Championships qualifier finished the fall with a record of 12-3
