Alabama's Sarah Ashlee Barker Named to the WBCA “So You Want To Be A Coach” Class

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama guard Sarah Ashlee Barker has been named to the Women's Basketball's Coaches Association 2025 "So You Want To Be A Coach" program. The WBCA will host its 22nd class during the NCAA Women's Final Four in Tampa, Fla., beginning on April 3.
The "So" program increases the understanding and application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions in women's basketball, increases the understanding and awareness of competencies necessary for success in coaching, introduces female basketball players to coaches and administrators and raises awareness of the existing talent pool of female basketball players who have a passion and interest in coaching the game of women's basketball.

- Through 15 games of the 2024-25 season, Barker led Alabama in scoring and rebounding, averaging 15.6 points per game and 5.9 boards per game
- The Birmingham, Ala., native recorded four 20-plus performances during the Crimson Tide's non-conference campaign, which included a season-high 25 points in UA's 75-52 win at Louisiana-Monroe
- Barker collected 32 steals in 15 games to bring her career-total to 200 steals
- With 234 points through 15 games this season, Barker brought her total career points to 1,366
- The guard earned 2024 Southeastern Conference First Team honors following the 2023-24 season, after averaging 16.8 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 2.9 assists per game and 1.9 steals per game
