
Foster, Zimnokh Fall in Doubles Match at ITA All-American Championships

Andrii Zimnokh and Zach Foster will compete in the consolation draw on Thursday
TULSA, Okla. –– The Alabama men's tennis doubles duo of Andrii Zimnokh and Zach Foster, ranked 18th nationally, fell in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships to Michigan State's No. 22 ranked Aristoltelis Thanos and Ozan Baris.
The two teams traded games in the top-25 matchup as Zimnokh and Foster fell 7-3 in the seven-point tiebreaker. Michigan State's duo jumped out to an early 4-0 lead before taking the second set at 6-2.
Foster and Zimnokh will compete in the consolation draw on Thursday.
The ITA All-American Championships will serve as a qualifying tournament for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. Ten singles players (eight main draw quarterfinalists and two feed-in consolation finalists) and four doubles teams (four main draw semifinalists) will advance to the national tournament.
