
Women’s Golf Moves Up One Spot on Day Two of the Mason Rudolph Championship

Alabama’s Mattison Frick and Isabella van der Biest leads the way for the Crimson Tide in 23rd place
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Alabama women's golf team moved up one spot on day two of the Mason Rudolph Championship, Saturday at the Vanderbilt Legends Club, moving to 11th place at 5-under par 571 (287-284). Alabama's duo of Mattison Frick and Isabella van der Biest moved up nine spots on the player leaderboard as they currently lead the Crimson Tide in a tie for 23rd overall with a score of 2-under par 142 (71-71).
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Alabama had three golfers score under par in the second round in Harriet Lockley (2-under par 70), Mattison Frick (1-under par 71) and Isabella van der Biest (1-under par 71)
- Lockley's 2-under par 70 is the lowest round of her collegiate career
- Frick is tied for the sixth-lowest average score (4.50) on Par 5s throughout the first 36 holes of the tournament, shooting 4-under par
- van der Biest's 36-hole score of 2-under par 142 (71-71) is the lowest 36-hole score of her collegiate career
- Molly Brown Davidson moved up 12 spots on the player leaderboard as she currently sits in a tie for 52nd place, with a 36-hole score of 2-over par 146 (74-72), her fourth round this season shooting par or better
- Rounding out the Tide's lineup is Julia Sánchez Morales at 4-over par 148 (71-77) in a tie for 61st place
TEAM RESULTS
- Five golfers are currently tied for first place on the player leaderboard at 9-under par 135
- Texas holds a four-stroke lead for first place on the team leaderboard at 21-under par 555 (278-277)
- Alabama will continue day two of the Mason Rudolph Championship on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8:05 a.m. CT
