
Women’s Golf Sits in 12th Place After Day One at the Mason Rudolph Championship

Alabama’s Frick, Morales and van der Biest leads the way on the player leaderboard
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Alabama women's golf team sits in a tie for 12th place after the opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championship with a team total of 1-under par 287, Friday afternoon at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. Alabama's trio of Mattison Frick, Julia Sánchez Morales and Isabella van der Biest leads the way for the Crimson Tide in a tie for 32nd place with a score of 1-under par 71.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Julia Sánchez Morales posted four birdies in the first 18 holes of the tournament, shooting 1-under par 71
- Isabella van der Biest posted the 18th lowest average score on Par 4's in the opening round, ending the day at 1-under par 71
- Mattison Frick is tied for the lowest average score (2.75) on Par 3's throughout the first round of the tournament, after carding 1-under par 71.
- Molly Brown Davidson shot 2-over par 74 and currently sits in a tie for 64th place overall
- Harriet Lockley rounds out the lineup in a tie at 71st overall at 3-over par 75
