
Women’s Golf Wraps Up Day One of Boilermaker Classic

Mattison Frick ranks among the top-25 individuals to pace the Tide through the opening 36 holes
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Alabama women's golf team carded a team score of 37-over par 613 (313-300) and sits in ninth overall after Monday's opening day of the Boilermaker Classic. Leading the way for the Crimson Tide is Mattison Frick, who sits in a tie for 21st overall, after carding a 7-over 151 on the par 72, 6,299-yard Kampen-Cosler course.
The Tide have a pair of golfers in the top-25 individual leaderboard in Frick (21st, 7-over) and freshman Molly Brown Davidson (25th, 8-over).
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Alabama converted a total of 108 pars as a team throughout the first two rounds of the tournament, which ranked as the fourth-most among the field
- Mattison Frick's second round 71 is the lowest round of her collegiate career
- In her first collegiate tournament, Molly Brown Davidson currently sits in a tie for 25th place after two round, recording a trio of birdies in the first two rounds of the tournament
- Tulane transfer Julia Sánchez Morales sits in a tie for 42nd place after carding an 11-over par 155 (79-76)
- Isabella van der Biest was tied for the lowest average score on Par 3 holes among the field, with an average score of 2.88 (-1) as she sits in 54th place at 12-over par
- Rounding out the lineup is Kennedy Carroll in 62nd place at 13-over par 157
- Competing as an individual, Ryan Flynn is tied with Davidson in 25th place, posting 26 pars in the first two rounds
- Also competing as an individual, Harriet Lockley sits in 34th place after day one of the tournament, carding 9-over par 153 (76-77)
THE FIELD
- Tournament host, Purdue, leads the team leaderboard at 9-over par 585 (285-300)
- Abilene Christian's Ryann Honea leads the individual leaderboard after two rounds at 3-under par 141 (72-69)
- The third and final round will tee off Tuesday morning
