
Women’s Golf Travels to Nashville to Compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship

Alabama will compete in its second tournament this week
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After claiming its first team title of the season to start the week, the Alabama women's golf team will compete in its second tournament closing out the week at the Mason Rudolph Championship. The 54-hole event Franklin, Tenn. will take place over three days at the par-72, 6,516-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club, beginning Friday morning at 10:05 a.m. CT
THE LINEUP
- Isabella van der Biest is coming off a career-best fifth place finish at the UAB Hoover Invitational at 1-under par 217 (77-68-62)
- Kennedy Carroll posted her best finish of the season at the UAB Hoover Invitational, placing fifth with fellow teammate van der Biest at 1-under par 217 (72-74-71)
- In her first two collegiate tournaments, freshman Molly Brown Davidson has posted back-to-back top-15 finishes after finishing at 4-over par 220 (76-72-72) at the UAB Hoover Invitational
- Mattison Frick has a pair of top-20 finishes in Alabama's tournaments this season, coming off placing 15th overall at 5-over par 221 (72-72-77) in Hoover
- Rounding out the lineup is Harriet Lockley and competed as an individual at the UAB Hoover Invitational, finishing 26th overall at 9-over par 225 (71-75-79)
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
- The 54-hole stroke play tournament will take place Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 22 at the par-72, 6,516-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club
- The field includes eight teams ranked in the WGCA Top-25 Coaches Poll, in addition to seven teams from the SEC
- In addition to Alabama, the 16-team field includes No. 17 Arizona, No. 12 Arizona State, Baylor, Chattanooga, No. 18 Clemson, Georgia Southern, Kentucky, Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee, No. 16 Mississippi State, No. 11 Northwestern, South Carolina, No. 4 Texas, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 19 Vanderbilt
