Three-Time Olympian, Olympic Finalist Shallon Olsen Concludes Action at Paris Olympics in Vault Final

PARIS – Former Alabama gymnast Shallon Olsen registered a 13.366 score in the women's vault final during her third-straight showing at the Olympics, as well as her third consecutive appearance in the women's artistic gymnastics event final.

Each of the finalists showed two vaults with their scores averaged together to acquire their final score on the apparatus. On her first vault, Olsen scored a 14.100 before recording a 12.633 mark on her second showing to reach her final score of 13.366. The Alabama grad ultimately finished eighth in the competition.

Olsen's Olympic career also features an eighth-place finish at the Rio 2016 Games, as well as a seventh-place finish at the Tokyo 2021 Games.

Representing her home country of Canada, Olsen is one of six Alabama gymnasts to compete in the Olympics and the only one to have competed in multiple Olympiads.

Luisa Blanco | Colombia

In her Olympics debut representing her parents' home country Colombia, Blanco used an all-around score of 51.698 during Qualifications to secure her place in the event final
- With the feat, Blanco became the first Colombian woman to compete in an Olympic final in artistic gymnastics
In the all-around final, Blanco accumulated a 50.199 score to finish 23^rd in the competition

Shallon Olsen | Canada

During Qualifications, Olsen used a 14.166 score on vault to propel her to the vault finals for her third consecutive Olympics
After earning their first women's team qualification in 12 years, Olsen and Team Canada finished fifth in the women's team final behind a combined score of 162.432
- Olsen's 14.400 score on vault was the highest score of the evening by a Canadian gymnast, as the Alabama grad became one of only five gymnasts on the apparatus to reach the 14.400-threshold
In the vault final, Olsen registered a 13.366 score to finish eighth in the competition
