
Thirteen Alabama Gymnasts Capture WCGA Scholastic All-America Honors

The Crimson Tide posted a 3.53 team grade point average during the 2023-24 academic year, marking the 19th straight year Alabama has recorded a 3.4 or better GPA
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama gymnastics was named to the 2024 Scholastic All-America team and saw 13 gymnasts capture individual Scholastic All-America honors, the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) revealed Wednesday.
The Crimson Tide, who finished eighth in the nation last season and second in the Southeastern Conference, earned a 3.53 team grade point average. The announcement marked the 19th year in a row that the Crimson Tide has posted a team GPA of 3.4 or higher.
Alabama also had six gymnasts earn a perfect 4.0 GPA, tied for the second-most within the Southeastern Conference, trailing only Oklahoma's nine gymnasts.
Consistent Academic Success
- With 13 honorees in 2024, Alabama has now posted double digit Scholastic All-America honors the last 14 consecutive years and 18 times since 1999
- Overall, 146 Tide gymnasts have earned the academic recognition 346Â times since the award's inception in 1991
- Over the last decade, a total of 77 Tide gymnasts have earned 185 Scholastic All-America honors
