
Alabama Men’s Golf Inks Transfer Dominic Clemons for 2024-25 Season

Clemons, a first team all-conference honoree, is coming off claiming the 2024 Scottish Men’s Open Championship in May
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golf head coach Jay Seawell announced Friday that 2024 Scottish Open Men's Champion Dominic Clemons will transfer to Alabama to continue his playing career with the Crimson Tide men's golf program.
Clemons, who is coming off an outstanding sophomore season at Stetson, will join signees Michael Crocker, Nick Gross and William Jennings as a part of the Crimson Tide's 2024-25 signing class.

- Claimed the 2024 Scottish Men's Open Championships at Muirfield, claiming a 17-shot victory
- Finish that event with rounds of 68-65-65-62 for a four-day total score of 24-under par 260, defeating 144 amateur golfers from 24 nations around the world
- Will compete in The Amateur Championship (British Amateur) which begins June 17th
- Eight years prior to his victory at Muirfield, Clemons won the 2016 Scottish Boys' Under-14 Open just a few miles down the coast at Craigielaw
- Played impressively in his lone season with at Stetson in 2023-24, and was a unanimous First Team All-ASUN selection
- closing the year with five top-three finishes and seven top-five results in 12 tournaments on the year
- Three-time ASUN Golfer of the Week, earning all three awards within a seven-week span in the spring season
- Led the team in all categories and finished ranked No. 87 in the nation in the final spikemark golf rankings
- Claimed ASUN Golfer of the Week honors after he captured medalist honors at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate with a 3-under par 213 (73-70-70) to capture his first medalist honor at Stetson
- 2022 First Team All-American at Hutchinson CC
- Was named to the Ben Hogan Award Watch List
- 2022 NJCAA individual national champion and was the No. 1-ranked junior college golfer in the nation
- Led the Blue Dragons to a national championship
