
Women’s Golf Season Comes to an End at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional

The Crimson Tide finishes in 10th place as a team to wrap up the season
CLE ELUM, Wash. – The Alabama women's golf team concluded play at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional Wednesday, finishing in 10thoverall with a team score of 916 (303-308-305). As a result of finishing outside the top five and not advancing to the 2024 NCAA Women's Golf National Championships, the Crimson Tide's 2023-24 season comes to an end.
Kynadie Adams and Mattie Frick led the team throughout the three-day, 54-hole regional as both finished inside the top 35. Adams paced Alabama with a tournament total of 11-over par 227 (77-74-76) to finish in 34th position, while Frick was a stroke back and tied for 35th overall at 12-over par 228 (75-78-75).
INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Kynadie Adams ended the season with her highest finish of the season (34th) on the player leaderboard
- Mattie Frick (75-78-75/228) moved up seven spots the player leaderboard on the final day to finish 35th overall, her second highest finish of the season
- In her first collegiate regional, Harriet Lockley finished in a tie for 47th overall at 16-over par 232 (77-78-77), moving up three spots on the player leaderboard
- Sarah Edwards posted a pair of birdies in the final round to move into 50th overall at 17-over par 233 (75-81-77)
- Rounding out the UA lineup is Elina Sinz at 54th overall, carding a 19-over par 235 (76-78-81) for the tournament
TEAM RESULTS
- Stanford finished in first place on the team leaderboard at 17-under par 847 (284-274-289) and the only team in the tournament that finished under-par
- In addition to Stanford, the four teams advancing to the NCAA Championships from the Cle Elum Region include Duke, Virginia, Arizona State and San Jose State
- Stanford took home the top three spots on the player leaderboard with Rachel Heck taking home first place at 8-under par 208 (72-65-71)
