TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– Alabama head coach George Husack announced the addition of Damien Nezar to the 2024-25 men's tennis roster Friday.
Nezar competed at Campbell for three seasons, earning Coastal Athletic Association's First Team All-Conference honors last season and first team All-Big South his freshman and sophomore years in both singles and doubles all three seasons. The Eden, South Africa, native helped lead the Camels to a 13-8 overall record and advance to the quarterfinals in the team's first season in the CAA.
From Head Coach George Husack
"Damien has had a very successful career at Campbell and will contribute to our program immediately. He's competed in the No. 1 singles and doubles position throughout his college career, so he's very experienced facing the toughest competition week after week. He's also performed very well in the classroom as a business major so his dedication on and off the court is a great fit for us too. I'm excited for Damien to join our program, further strengthen our lineup and have a one-of-a-kind Bama experience for his senior season."
