
Kayla Beaver and Kenleigh Cahalan Earn All-SEC Honors

The honor is the first for Beaver and Cahalan as members of the Crimson Tide
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced its annual softball awards for the 2024 season Friday, with Alabama's Kayla Beaver and Kenleigh Cahalan both earning All-SEC Second Team honors.
The award is the first for both Beaver and Cahalan as members of the Crimson Tide, while Beaver previously earned First Team all-conference honors at Central Arkansas in 2021 (Southland) and 2023 (ASUN). Alabama now boasts 119 All-SEC awards in program history, with multiple honorees every year since 2017.
Beaver was 8-8 with a 2.48 ERA in conference play this season, earning ranked wins over Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M and Tennessee. She threw eight complete games, including four shutouts, with 88 strikeouts. Cahalan was 23-for-80 (.288) against SEC opponents, earning a hit in 16 of the 24 league games this season including five multi-hit performances. Nine of her 11 hits went for extra bases, including six doubles, two triples and a home run.
