Karly Weathers Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District

The sophomore earns the honor for the first time in her career
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Karly Weathers was named to the College Sports Communicators' Women's Basketball Academic All-District Team, the organization announced. Weathers earned the honor for the first time in her career. The sophomore holds a 4.0 GPA as she pursues a degree in nursing.
Karly Weathers
- Appeared in 34 games, making four starts
- Recorded her first career double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) in Alabama's victory at Arkansas on Feb. 1
- Scored 18 points (7-10) with five rebounds and five steals in the Crimson Tide's NCAA Tournament win over Florida State on March 22
- Finished fourth on the team with 132 rebounds, averaging 3.9 rebounds per game
- Played a role in Alabama's win over Texas A&M which secured the team a double-bye in the Southeastern Conference Tournament
- Helped lead UA to back-to-back 20-win seasons since joining Alabama last season as a freshman
