Karly Weathers Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama's Karly Weathers was named to the College Sports Communicators' Women's Basketball Academic All-District Team, the organization announced. Weathers earned the honor for the first time in her career. The sophomore holds a 4.0 GPA as she pursues a degree in nursing.

Recorded her first career double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) in Alabama's victory at Arkansas on Feb. 1
Scored 18 points (7-10) with five rebounds and five steals in the Crimson Tide's NCAA Tournament win over Florida State on March 22
Finished fourth on the team with 132 rebounds, averaging 3.9 rebounds per game
Played a role in Alabama's win over Texas A&M which secured the team a double-bye in the Southeastern Conference Tournament
Helped lead UA to back-to-back 20-win seasons since joining Alabama last season as a freshman
