Petkova Advances to Finals with Record-Setting Performance

Diana Petkova recorded her second Bulgarian record at the World Aquatic Championships, topping the prior national mark in the 100m medley time
BUDAPEST, Hungary – Diana Petkova captured a Bulgarian national record on her way to a spot in the 100m medley finals Thursday.
Petkova snapped the national record twice during the day's events, first topping the Bulgarian standard in the preliminary heats with a time of 58.79. She would follow with a time of 58.28 in the semifinals to place seventh and secure a spot in Friday's finals.
