Crimson Tide Ranked Sixth in WCGA Preseason Coaches Poll

The regular-season slate features matchups against the top-four teams, in addition to 10 teams ranked in the top 15
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama gymnastics is No. 6 in the 2025 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Preseason Poll, the organization announced Tuesday.
Throughout the regular season, the Crimson Tide will face 10 teams ranked in the top 15, as every regular-season opponent landed on the top-36 preseason poll. The Tide plays host to the top-three nationally-ranked teams, inside Coleman Coliseum, as No. 1 Oklahoma (Jan. 24), No. 2 LSU (Feb. 7) and No. 3 Florida (March 7) all travel to Tuscaloosa.
Additionally, Alabama hosts No. 17 Auburn (Feb. 21) for the program's annual Power of Pink meet, as well as No. 36 North Carolina (Jan. 10) for the 2025 season opener.
The Tide will face nine nationally-ranked teams on the road or at a neutral site. Alabama will travel to Southeastern Conference foes No. 7 Kentucky (Jan. 17), No. 8 Arkansas (Feb. 28) and No. 14 Georgia (Jan. 31) before competing at No. 13 Michigan in its final dual meet of the regular season.
The Tide will be joined in St. Louis, Mo., for the Zou to the Lou Quad (Feb. 14), by host school No. 9 Missouri, No. 22 Illinois and No. 29 Iowa, before also meeting a trio of ranked teams for Elevate the Stage (March 9). Joining Alabama in Huntsville will be No. 4 Cal, No. 11 Michigan State and No. 36 North Carolina.
The 2025 Alabama Crimson Tide
- There are 18 gymnasts on the 2025 Crimson Tide roster, including six freshmen, three sophomores, four juniors, three seniors and two super-seniors
- The Crimson Tide's lineup returns three All-Americans – Gabby Gladieux, Lilly Hudson and Chloe LaCoursiere
- There are two individual SEC individual champions on this year's team: Shania Adams (uneven bars) and Gladieux (vault)
- Ashley Johnston, who competed for Alabama from 2009-13, is in her third season as head coach
- Justin Spring gets set for his third season on the Crimson Tide's coaching staff, and first as associate head coach
- Amelia Hundley returns for her second season as an assistant coach with UA, as Ross Thompson begins his first season on staff
