Hinson will come to Alabama after an outstanding prep career
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golf head coach Jay Seawell announced Tuesday the signing of Andrew Hinson, one of the top recruits in the 2025 signing class.
Hinson will come to Alabama next fall after a standout prep career at the Randolph School, which included winning individual boys state medalist honors in 2023, as well as being tabbed a Rolex All-American that same year.
Jay Seawell on Andrew: "We are really excited to have Andrew as part of the Alabama golf program. His accomplishments show the type of player he is. I love his game, especially his golf intelligence. He really understands the way to get around a golf course and will be very helpful in our championship pursuits."

- 2023 Rolex Junior All-American
- Closed the 2023 season ranked No. 11 by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and No. 13 by Junior Golf Scoreboard
- Had an outstanding junior year in 2023 which was highlighted by winning the AJGA Huntsville Junior championship and a fourth-place finish at the Future Masters
- Capped his junior year by winning the AHSAA Boys State Championship with a 36-hole score of 140, after finishing in third as a sophomore
- Tabbed first team all-state by Gulf Coast Media and the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
- Finished runner up at the Alabama Boys State Junior Championship in 2023
- Placed runner up at the 2024 AJGA's Atlanta Classic in June, which included a third-round 66
- Collected a pair of top 20 results this past summer at the Visit Tuscaloosa Junior Championship (T-8th) and the Mizuno/Greyson Sigg Junior (T-15th)
- Selected Alabama over Auburn, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech, among others
- Started playing golf at the age of 13 mainly due to the pandemic
