Women’s Golf Wraps Up Day One at the Illini Invitational at Medinah

Alabama’s Julia Sánchez Morales leads the way for the UA in 39th place
MEDINAH, Ill. – The Alabama women's golf team sits in 12th place after the opening rounds of the Illini Invitational at Medinah with a team total of 4-over par 580 (292/288). Leading the way for the Crimson Tide is Julia Sánchez Morales, in a tie for 39th place on the player leaderboard with a score of 1-over par 145 (74/71).
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Julia Sánchez Morales posted her lowest 36-hole score (145) of the season, recording nine birdies throughout the first two rounds of the tournament
- Sitting in a tie for 47th overall, Harriet Lockley carded a 2-over par 146 (71/75)
- Molly Brown Davidson's second round score of 4-uder par 68 is the lowest round of her freshman season, moving up 33 spots on the player leaderboard and currently sits in a tie for 47th place
- Mattison Frick carded a 4-over par 148 (73/75), ending the day in a tie for 57th overall
- Tied in 57th place with Frick is fellow teammates Isabella van der Biest (74-74/148) and Ryan Flynn (74-74-148)
