
Women’s Golf Set to Compete at the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah

The Crimson Tide will tee off in the two-day event Monday Morning at 8:30 a.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's golf team will return to action this week when it travels to Medinah, Ill. to compete at the 2024 Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah hosted by the University of Illinois. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the par 72, 6,166-yard Medinah Country Club.
THE LINEUP
- The Crimson Tide is receiving votes in the latest WGCA Top-25 Coaches Poll
- The Tide will be paired with Pepperdine and UCF to begin the tournament
- Mattison Frick has placed top-30 in all three tournaments to start the season, coming off a team-best 27th place finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship
- Molly Brown Davidson makes her fourth straight appearance in the lineup to tee off her collegiate career
- Isabella van der Biest has posted four rounds in three tournaments this season posting par or lower
- Harriet Lockley is coming off her lowest 54-hole score of the season (75-70-71/216) at the Mason Rudolph Championship
- Rounding out the lineup is Julia Sánchez Morales, making her fourth appearance in the lineup this season
- Competing as an individual, Ryan Flynn will compete in her third tournament this fall with all three as an individual
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
- The 54-hole stroke play tournament will take place Monday, Oct. 7 through Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the par 72, 6,166-yard Medinah Country Club.
- The 15-team field includes nine teams ranked or receiving votes in the WGCA Top-25 Coaches Poll
- Teams participating in the tournament includes No. 6 Auburn, UCF, Georgia, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana-Monroe, Maryland, North Texas, No. 19 Ole Miss, No. 23 Pepperdine, Texas Tech, Tulsa and No. 5 UCLA
