Alabama’s freshman led the Tide at 1-under par
WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Alabama women's golf team sits tied in ninth place after the opening round of the Landfall Tradition with a team total of 6-over par 294, Friday afternoon at the Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course. Alabama's Molly Brown Davidson leads the way for the Crimson Tide in 13th place with a score of 1-under par 71.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Alabama posted the fourth-lowest average score (3.00) as a team on Par 3 holes
- Sitting in a tie at 13th overall, Molly Brown Davidson posted her fourth-lowest round of the season and her seventh round scoring par or lower
- In her first appearance in the lineup this season, Ryan Flynn carded a 1-over par 73, for her second lowest round of the season, finishing the day in 34th on the player leaderboard
- Mattison Frick sits in a tie for 52nd at 3-over par 75, posting 13 pars throughout the first round
- Tied with Frick in 52nd place is teammate Harriet Lockley, converting a trio of birdies in the opening round
