
Women’s Golf Set to Compete in Final Fall Event at the Landfall Tradition

The Crimson Tide will tee off in the three-day event Friday Morning
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's golf team will head to Wilmington, N.C., this weekend to compete in the final event of the fall season at the Landfall Tradition. The three-day, 54-hole tournament hosted by UNCW will be contested at the par 72, 6,178-yard Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course.
THE LINEUP
- The Crimson Tide's lineup for the event will be led by Mattison Frick, who leads the team in overall stroke average (72.58) and average vs. par (+0.58)
- Frick, who has finished in the top 30 in every event on the season, also leads the squad in rounds carded in the 60s (8)
- Harriet Lockley (73.75) and Molly Brown Davidson (73.67) also join Frick to lead the Tide in the event, both averaging under 74.00 strokes per round
- Ryan Flynn and Isabella van der Biest round out the Tide's starting five for the event
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
- The teams will compete in a stroke-play format, with the Tide teeing off the opening round at 8:15 a.m. CT on hole No. 10, paired alongside UNC and Furman
- The 17-team field includes nine teams ranked or receiving votes in the WGCA Top-25 Coaches Poll
- Joining Alabama in the field is No. 14 Florida State, No. 16 Duke, No. 19 Ole Miss, No. 22 Clemson, No. 23 North Carolina, No. 25 Michigan State, UCF and Virginia Tech
- Furman, Illinois, Maryland, NC State, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Florida and tournament host UNCW round out participating teams in the field
