
Alabama’s Sarah Ashlee Barker, Aaliyah Nye Earn All-SEC Honors in Coaches Poll

The Crimson Tide picked to finish fifth in the Southeastern Conference by the league’s coaches
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aaliyah Nye of Alabama women's basketball earned Southeastern Conference Preseason honors for the 2024-25 season, the league announced Thursday. The SEC basketball coaches also voted the Crimson Tide to finish fifth in the conference race.
Barker picked up her second First-Team All-SEC preseason honor after being named to the same list by local and national media. Nye earned her first preseason recognition after being selected to the Second Team All-SEC list.

- Tied the program single-game three-point field goal record with her eight three-pointers against the Bulldogs
- Reached double figures in 26 games, including four games with 20-plus points
- Closed the non-conference slate by tallying 10-or-more points in eight straight games
