Alabama Finishes in 14th at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate

The tournament marked the final event of the Crimson Tide’s fall season
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The Alabama men's golf team finished in 14th at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, closing the three-day, 54-hole event with a team total of 17-over par 881 (294-289-298).
INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Dominic Clemons (72-69-79) and Jonathan Griz (73-75-72) led the Tide with a 54-hole score of 4-over par 220 to finish tied for 42nd overall
- Nick Gross was one stroke back as he tied for 49th with a 5-over 221 (73-71-77)
- Jones Free (78-74-75) with Jack Mitchell (76-77-74) tied for 65th position with each closing the event with a 227
TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
- No. 44 Duke carded a team score of 17-under par Sunday to overcome a five-shot deficit and claim the team title with a 28-under par 836
- No. 39 UCLA (-26) finished second, with No. 7 Virginia (-19), No. 46 Charlotte (-13) and USC (-4) rounding out the top five teams, respectively
- The Tide's 54-hole team total of 881 was a fall season tournament high
- In addition to No. 11 Alabama, nine teams in the field were ranked inside top 50 including No. 7 Virginia, No. 9 Georgia Tech, No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 17 Tennessee, No. 18. Pepperdine, No. 24 Stanford, No. 39 UCLA, No. 44 Duke and No. 46 Charlotte
