The Crimson Tide receives its first preseason ranking in 25 years
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team landed at No. 24 on the Preseason Associated Press Top 25 women's basketball poll, the organization announced Tuesday.
Alabama concluded the 2023-24 season earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years, as the team finished 23-9 in the regular season and 10-6 in conference play.

2024-25 Alabama Basketball
- The Tide will enter the upcoming year ranked during the preseason for the first since the 1998-99 season.
- UA welcomes back key starters in Sarah Ashlee Barker, Essence Cody and Aaliyah Nye from last year's 24-10 NCAA Tournament team.
- In all, Alabama returns it top four scorers from a year ago and eight total letterwinners while also bringing in quality portal players and a highly regarded signing class.
- Alabama will begin the 2024-25 season on Nov. 4, welcoming New Orleans to Coleman Coliseum.
