ORLANDO, Fla. – Former Alabama goalkeeper McKinley Crone has signed a contract with the Orlando Pride through the end of the 2023 season, the organization announced Wednesday.
Crone previously signed a National Team Replacement contract with Orlando this summer, doing two stints with the National Women's Soccer League team (NWSL).
"Mac has demonstrated max effort and tenacity in her training throughout the season with us and we are excited to reward her hard work with a contract through the end of the year," Orlando Pride VP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter said. "She has consistently challenged our goalkeeper corps in training and shown tremendous improvement in shot stopping, distribution, and aerial challenges. She has earned her place in the NWSL, and we are excited to play a role in her continued development as a professional athlete."
"Being able to be here, in my hometown, and play is such a dream come true," Crone said. "I am so excited to continue working and learning from such amazing teammates and staff members, and help contribute to making the Pride an incredible environment to play in."
