
Alabama’s Julian Collins, Margaret Conteh Selected to 2023 SEC Track and Field Community Service Teams

The Crimson Tide’s Conteh and Collins gave back to the local Tuscaloosa community through volunteer opportunities with Habitat for Humanity, The RISE Center and the West Alabama Food Bank
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama's Julian Collins and Margaret Conteh were named to the 2023 Southeastern Conference Track and Field Men's and Women's Community Service Teams, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
Each year, the Conference names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community.
Julian Collins
- Volunteered with Habitat for Humanity where he assisted with the building of houses for members of the local community
- Assisted the West Alabama Food Bank with the preparation of food to be distributed to young students and local Tuscaloosa residents for the holiday season
- Participated in Alabama's annual Halloween Extravaganza, an event that celebrates Halloween and allows local children in the community to dress up, play games and trick-or-treat with current Crimson Tide student-athletes
- Served at The RISE Center where he helped young children develop necessary skills to succeed both in and out of the classroom
Margaret Conteh
- Volunteered with Habitat for Humanity where she assisted with the building of houses for members of the local community
