
Alabama's Kensey McMahon Earns Another Spot on the USA Open Water National Team

The two-time Crimson Tide NCAA champion placed sixth in the 10,000 meters, once again earning a spot on the United States National Team
SARASOTA, Fla. – Alabama swimming and diving NCAA champion Kensey McMahon earned her second consecutive top-10 finish in the 10,000-meter race at the United States Open Water Championships in Sarasota, Fla., Friday.
McMahon, who won two titles at last month's NCAA Championships, finished sixth, overall, and fifth among Americans in the 10k event. With her finish, McMahon once again earned a place on the U.S. Open Water National Team.Â
In December, the Crimson Tide distance ace earned a bronze medal in the 1,500-meter freestyle at the 2022 FINA World Short Course Championships.
