
Alabama Signs North Carolina State Transfer Jessica Timmons

The 2021 McDonald’s All-American nominee will join the Crimson Tide for her junior season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team welcomes guard Jessica Timmons to the 2023-24 team. A 2021 McDonald's All-American nominee, Timmons joins the Tide from NC State where she played in 38 games with the Wolfpack.

Before her first season with the Wolfpack, Timmons was the 45th-ranked player in the class of 2021 Collegiate Girls Basketball Report and the 16th-ranked combo guard in the class. As a McDonald's All-American nominee and a competitor on the Nike EYBL Circuit, Timmons completed an N.C. State roster that made it to the Regional Final of the NCAA Tournament.
In her sophomore campaign, Timmons played in 18 games, including against Quinnipiac (11/3) where she recorded 10 points shooting 4-of-5 from the field. Timmons also set a new career high in rebounds against Davidson (12/15) with six and dished at least three assists in back-to-back wins against Mount Saint Mary's (11/13) and Charlotte, (11/16) only turning the ball over once in each game. As a freshman, Timmons played in 20 games throughout the season. She scored nine points off the bench against Saint Mary's (12/12) and added a pair of three pointers against both Florida (11/14) and Pitt (12/10).
In her two years with the Wolfpack, Timmons faced 23 ranked opponents and boasted a 13-10 record against top 25 foes. Regarding post-season play, Timmons played a role in NC State winning the 2022 ACC Championship, including competing in the tournament quarterfinals that season.
