
Alabama Inks Del’Janae “Burger” Williams to 2023-24 Roster

The former four-year starter and 2021-22 MVC All-Defensive Team honoree will join the Crimson Tide in the fall of 2023
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– The Alabama women's basketball team has added graduate transfer Del'Janae Williams to the 2023-24 roster. The graduate guard is looking to make an immediate impact on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor after averaging 13.9 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game and 1.4 steals per game in her final year at Indiana State.

The leading-point scorer for Indiana State, Williams joins the Crimson Tide after a senior season where she eclipsed a thousand career points with 1,112 points over her four years with the Sycamores. During the 2022-23 season, Williams recorded 20 games with double-digit scoring and five games totaling 20 points or more. Included in the five games is a 30 point, eight rebound and five assist performance where she shot 7-of-13 from beyond the arc (Bradley, 3/23).
Williams recorded a combined 73 total points in her final three games with Indiana State. Additionally, she totaled 27 points, four rebounds and eight assists with the Sycamores in her last outing (Southern Illinois, 3/9). Williams notched 61 three-point field goals in total, making at least three triples a game nine times last season and at least five a game twice.
Williams concluded her time at Indiana State as a 2021-22 All-MVC honorable mention and All-Defensive Team honoree after leading the Trees in double-figure scoring with 18 double-digit games. She averaged 12.5 ppg, 2.8 apg and 2.0 spg her junior year. Additionally, Williams was named a 2019-20 MVC All-Freshman Team selection.
