
Alabama’s Sania Mitchell Selected to 2023 SEC Community Service Team

The graduate student has recorded over 35 community service hours this year
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama gymnastics graduate student Sania Mitchell has been selected to the 2023 SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced Friday.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for its 21 league sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to the community through service efforts.
- A Tuscaloosa, Ala., native who leads Alabama gymnastics in community service hours
- Her volunteer opportunities are highlighted by weekly service hours at Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl
- The graduate student has also volunteered with the We Care Family Practice Clinic, Skyland Elementary Day Care, RISE Center UA and Habitat for Humanity
- Four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll
- Two-time Scholastic All-American
