
Alabama Earns NCAA Tournament Berth , Set to Play Baylor in First Round

The Crimson Tide will make its second NCAA Tournament appearance in three years when the team tips off against Baylor on Saturday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team will make its second NCAA appearance in three years after earning an at-large bid to the 2023 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.
Competing in the Seattle 3 Region, the Crimson Tide (20-10) will play as a 10th seed and will take on seventh-seeded Baylor (19-12) on Saturday, March 18 in Storrs, Connecticut.
Times and television information will be released at a later date.
Alabama in the NCAA Tournament
- Alabama earned the program's 12th NCAA Tournament berth
- The Crimson Tide has made the tournament twice in the last three years, after also advancing to the 2021 tournament
- UA made eight consecutive trips from 1992-99 after its initial two in the 80s (1984, 88)
- Head Coach Kristy Curry will make her 11th trip to the NCAA Tournament, after capturing berths to the Big Dance at Purdue (2000-06) and Texas Tech (2011, 13) prior to UA's 2021 appearance
- Alabama is 17-11 all-time in the NCAA Tournament
- The Crimson Tide's deepest run came in 1994 with the team advancing to the Final Four
