
Alabama’s Brittany Davis, Hannah Barber Earn SEC Postseason Awards

Brittany Davis earned first team All-SEC honors while Hannah Barber was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team earned a pair of Southeastern Conference postseason awards as Brittany Davis was named First Team All-SEC with Hannah Barber honored as the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league officed announced Tuesday.
Davis collected her second all-conference honor, after being selected a second team recipient during the 2021 season. Davis is the 20th Alabama player to receive first-team honors and the second to do so in past three years (Jasmine Walker, 2021).
Meanwhile, Barber joins Jordan Lewis (2020) as the only two Alabama athletes in program history to be named the league's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Brittany Davis, First Team
- Leads Alabama in points (17.6 ppg), rebounds (7.1 rpg) and steals (1.8 spg)
- Holds a national ranking in 11 categories including field goal percentage (45.6), points per game, rebounds per game, steal per game, three-point percentage (34.3) and three pointers made (63)
- Became a member of the 1,000-point club this season and will enter the SEC Tournament with 1,294 career points at Alabama
- Named SEC Player of the Week (2/14) for back-to-back double-double performances against Kentucky and Auburn
- Recorded a career-high 17 rebounds against Auburn, the first player to tally 17 or more boards since Erin Hogue recorded 18 against Louisiana Tech in 2011
- Tallied a career-high 33 points against Missouri
- Ranks top four in the conference for field goals and points per game
- Led Alabama in scoring 18 times this season in addition to leading the team in rebounds 14 times
- Ranks ninth all-time at Alabama in career three point field goals made (188)
Hannah Barber, Scholar Athlete of the Year
- Recorded a 3.75 undergraduate GPA while earning a degree in exercise science
- Holds a 3.83 GPA as a graduate student while majoring in marketing
- Leads Alabama in assists, averaging 2.8 per game, while also holding a team-leading 2.6 assists per game in conference play
- Is third on the team in points, averaging 8.1 points per game
- Ranks 10th all-time at Alabama in career threes (184) and 10th in career assists (345)
- Leads the team in three-point percentage (47.8) and assist/turnover ratio (1.74)
- Tallied a season-high 14 points twice both times against SEC foes (Texas A&M, Vanderbilt)
- Ranks third among active SEC leaders for assists (342)
- Ranks in 11th in the SEC for both overall and conference three-point field goals made with 52 and 27, respectively
- Has started every game the last two years
- Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative
- Four-time SEC Honor Roll and Dean's List honoree
