After falling behind 3-1 early in the match, the Crimson Tide recorded three straight wins in singles to secure the victory

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After falling behind 3-1, the Alabama men's tennis team captured three straight wins in singles to clinch a come-from-behind victory and defeat Wisconsin 4-3 Friday. Yair Sarouk clinched the deciding point off a three-set victory on court six to break a 3-3 tie in the match between the Tide (7-1) and the Badgers (5-2).

In addition to Sarouk, the Crimson Tide recorded wins in singles from Filip Planinsek, Enzo Aguiard and German Samofalov.

The Match

Despite all three doubles courts going into a tiebreak, Wisconsin emerged with the first point with wins on courts one and three, respectively
The Badgers would follow with a win on court three to take a 2-0 lead in the match, but Samofalov captured a 6-3, 6-4 win over Michael Minasyan on court five to put UA on the board
Wisconsin again pushed the lead out with a win at No. 3 to take a 3-1 advantage
Enzo Aguiard went 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2 singles against Jason Hildebrandt while Planinsek defeated Jared Pratt, 7-6 (5), 6-4, on court one to tie the match at 3-3
Sarouk took the first set at 6-4, but Wisconsin's Robin Parts battled back to win set two at 6-2
The two athletes would sit tied at 4-4 in the final round, but Sarouk battled his way to victory winning the last two games to give UA the win

Alabama returns to action on Sunday, hosting the No. 22-ranked Northwestern Wildcats
The match will begin at 11 a.m. CT at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility
