Alabama Goes Undefeated in Singles Action on Day Two of Georgia Tech Invite

Matias Ponce De Leon, Roan Jones and Yair Sarouk captured wins as the Crimson Tide swept its singles matches on the second day of the tournament
ATLANTA –– The Alabama men's tennis team went undefeated in singles action on the second day of the Georgia Tech Invite as Matias Ponce De Leon, Roan Jones and Yair Sarouk record wins during the day.
Jones was the first UA player to post a win, defeating Cyrus Mahjoob from Georgia. After securing a 6-2 win in the first set, Jones followed with a 6-3 victory to claim the match.
Sarouk downed Georgia Tech's Elias Shokry in two sets. After a tightly contested first set, 7-5, Sarouk rallied to take the second set at 6-2.
Ponce De Leon concluded the day with a three-set victory against Georgia's Ryan Colby. The two athletes split the opening two sets, 6-3, 0-6 before reaching a 6-6 tie in the third set. Ponce De Leon fought to emerge victorious with a 7-5 tiebreak win.
