Enzo Aguiard Competes at Master'U BNP Paribas

Enzo Aguiard will represent Australia at the 16th annual Master'U BNP Paribas, the world university tennis event, organized by the FFSU. The tournament will run December 1-3 in Honfleur, France.Â
Australia is one of eight teams competing in the tournament, battling Germany, Belgium, the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Switzerland and France. Each team will consist of three male and three female players. Competition will feature the best of seven matches (two men's singles, two women's singles, one men's doubles, one women's doubles and one mixed doubles)Â
Day Four - December 2, 2023
A Tough BattleÂ
Despite a singles win from Enzo Aguiard, the Aussies fell 4-3 to Great Britain in the semifinals. Aguiard posted a 7-6(3), 3-6, 10-7 win over Mississippi State and Great Britain's Ewen Lumsden. Australia continued it fight but was edged in the overall competition. Â
Day Three - December 1, 2023
Victory!Â
Australia opened the tournament with a 5-2 victory over Belgium . Enzo Aguiard recorded the first singles win for the Aussies as he secured a 6-0, 7-6 victory. The team carried the momentum winning four additional matches to take the overall team win. Australia returns to action Saturday to face Great Britain in the semifinals.Â
Day Two - November 30, 2023
Opening CeremonyÂ
Opening Ceremony Day at the Master'UÂ BNP Paribas as the Australian team and Enzo Aguiard enjoyed the festivities. Aguiard and the Aussies walked round the town and enjoyed the historic, old town. Additionally, the team spent the day preparing for its first match against Belgium Friday, at 2:30 a.m. CT. Aguiard will make his tournament debut in singles.Â

Day One - November 29, 2023
First Day of PracticeÂ
Enzo Aguaird and the Australian tennis team completed their first day of practice in Honfleur, France. The Aussies had two practices, one at 8 a.m. and one at 2 p.m. local time, as they battled the cold, 45 degree weather. Aguiard and his teammates enjoyed exploring the quite town of Honfleur as they prepare for opening day on December 1.Â
