No. 47 Planinsek Falls in Qualifying Round of 64 at ITA All-American Championships

Planinsek and the men’s tennis team will return to action Oct. 12 for the ITA Southern Regional Championships
TULSA, Okla. –– Alabama's No. 47 Filip Planinsek fell in the Qualifying Round of 64 at the ITA All-American Championships Tuesday.
Planinsek faced Jacob Bickersteth in the second round of the qualifying draw, falling to the senior from the University of Michigan, 6-3, 6-3.

- Planinsek recorded his first singles loss of the season, falling to Bickersteth 6-3, 6-3
- Planinsek advanced to the Round of 64 after posting a three-set win on Monday against Harvard's Cooper Williams (7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-2)
- Tuesday's meeting was the second time this season that Planinsek and Bickersteth had gone head-to-head
- Planinsek won the first meeting 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 at the SEC/Big Ten Challenge (9/16)
