SANTIAGO, Chile – Alabama's Zarek Wilson concluded his time at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, Monday morning. The UA freshman's performance was highlighted with a 14th-overall finish in the 100m butterfly on Sunday night.
Wilson competed in a pair of events on the international stage for Trinidad and Tobago, swimming in both the 100m butterfly on Sunday and 100m backstroke Monday.
The Meet
- Finished 14th-overall and sixth in the B final of the 100m butterfly, reaching the wall with a time of 54.61
- Swam a time of 54.74 in the 100m butterfly prelims to finish 14th and advance to the B final in the event
- Posted a time of 58.37 in the 100m backstroke to finish 21st overall in his final event of the meet
