Four different UA players scored in the victory against the Tigers with Felicia Knox notching her fourth game-winning goal of the season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Four different players scored in the No. 24 Alabama soccer team's (9-3-4, 3-3-1 SEC) 4-1 victory over the LSU Tigers (8-6-1, 3-4-0 SEC) Friday night.
After falling behind by a goal in the opening 10 minutes of the game, the Crimson Tide netted shots from Nadia Ramadan and Felicia Knox to take the lead before halftime. Marianna Annest and Brooke Steere added goals in the second half to give the Crimson Tide a three-goal margin over LSU.
The win moved UA's unbeaten home streak to 28 games as the Crimson Tide won its 25th contest in that span.
From Head Coach Wes Hart
"I loved the response of the group. Not the start we'd hoped for or planned for but to bounce back and get the goal from Nadia, the first one and a big goal for her, and then follow it up with Felicia's goal. We had some good moments, some of our better attacking soccer this season. It looked a lot more free flowing, a lot more getting numbers forward and a lot more aggressive. Super pleased with the performance. It's a huge three points and we needed that one. We needed to get three points at home and we did just that."
