
Alabama’s Rhyan White Brings Home Silver on Day Two of the USA Swimming National Championships

The Olympic and World Championships medalist took silver in the 200-meter backstroke at the national championships
IRVINE, Calif – Alabama's Rhyan White took silver in her first swim of the USA Swimming National Championships, being held in Irvine, Calif., this week, taking second in the 200-meter backstroke.
Finishing with a time of 2:07.51, White was less than a quarter of a second out of first place and more than two seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
White's medal came a day after Kensey McMahon scored a bronze medal in the women's 800-meter freestyle on day one of the championships.
Action continues Thursday with Alabama putting four swimmers, two men and two women, in the 100-meter butterfly. Prelims go off at 9 a.m. PT, while finals start at 5 p.m. PT.
