Matias Ponce De Leon will compete with the Crimson Tide this fall while Yair Sarouk joins the program in the spring
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– Alabama men's tennis coach George Husack announced the addition of two student-athletes to the 2022-23 roster on Tuesday. Matias Ponce De Leon will make his debut in Crimson and White this fall, while Yair Sarouk will join the Crimson Tide in January.
Ponce De Leon and Sarouk join Roan Jones as members of the 2022 signing class. Jones signed with the Tide in November of 2021. Together the three signees rank seventh on Tennis Recruiting Network's Top 25 Recruiting Classes, released earlier this summer.
From Head Coach George Husack
"Happy and excited to have these three players join our program. Like other prospects, we spent time getting to know them away from the court and then factored in their tennis experience and desire to become better competitors. They all have great character and will add to our locker room. Each guy is determined to have college tennis improve their current game, and at the same time, push our program forward."
