Planinsek won five matches on his way to his second consecutive national title
MARIBOR, Slovenia –– Alabama's Filip Planinsek won the Slovenian national title for the second consecutive year on Saturday.
Planinsek battled his way through five rounds to clinch the national title, including winning his first four matches in straight sets. In the finals, Planinsek rallied after suffering an opening set 7-5 loss to take a second-set tiebreaker at 7-4 before clinching the crown with a dominate 6-0 third-set performance.

- Second Round: Filip Planinsek def. Jan Kupcic 6-3, 7-5
- Quarterfinals: Filip Planinsek def. Matic Dimic 6-2, 7-6
