
Kyana George Joins Alabama Gymnastics Staff as Volunteer Assistant Coach

The former Cal gymnast joins the Crimson Tide staff following a standout collegiate career that included All-America and All-Pac 12 honors as well being voted Regional Gymnast of the Year
TUSCALOOA, Ala. – Former Cal All-American and Regional Gymnast of the Year Kyana George has joined the Crimson Tide gymnastics staff as a volunteer assistant coach, head coach Ashley Johnston announced Tuesday.
George joins a coaching staff led by Johnston that also includes assistant coaches Gina Quinlan and Justin Spring.
Alabama Head Coach Ashley Johnston Said
"Kyana brings a tremendous energy to our program and has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to succeed at the highest level. I am confident that she will bring a creative flair to our beam and floor choreography, along with valuable experience as a former student-athlete. More than anything, I'm excited about what her heart and spirit will bring to the Crimson Tide."

- Cal's 2021 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee
- Beam Queen Boot Camp coach
- Cal Athletics Gymnastics Camp coach
- Family counselor at the Alternative Family Services in Oakland, Calif.
- Two year member of the Cal Athletics Marketing team
- Graduated from Cal with a bachelor's degree in social welfare in May 2021
- Pursuing a master's degree from Cal in public health
