
Alabama Softball Welcomes Graduate Transfer Faith Hensley

Hensley was named the 2022 MAC Player of the Year as Ball State’s leading hitter
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball announced the addition of fifth-year senior Faith Hensley to its 2023 roster, joining the Crimson Tide after four seasons at Ball State.
Hensley was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 2022, leading the Cardinals with 63 hits, a .404 batting average, 17 home runs, 40 RBIs and 51 runs scored. The left-handed hitter posted 22 multi-hit games as a senior, playing in 53 games primarily in left field.
Over her career at Ball State, Hensley ranks first in on-base percentage (.499), second in batting average (.389) and third in slugging percentage (.720). She is a two-time First Team All-MAC selection (2021-22) and two-time NFCA First Team All-Region honoree (2021-22). In 2022, she was named a CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-American, just the eighth honoree in program history and its first since 2011.
Hensley joins a 2023 Crimson Tide roster that includes returning NFCA All-American Montana Fouts and All-Region honorees Bailey Dowling, Ashley Prange and Ally Shipman.
