Alabama Head Coach Dana Duckworth Said
"Seattle here we come. We've enjoyed great success at the regional championships in Seattle and we're looking forward to being back at Alaska Arena for what will be a great competition. This marks the first year that we'll have a day between our first round of competition and the regional final and we had great success earlier this season when we followed that format during the last weekend of the regular season. Our coaching staff is very proud of this team and excited to continue this amazing season."
Alabama and the NCAA Championships Regional Round
- Alabama has competed in the regional round of the NCAA Championships every year since its inception in 1982, outside of the 2020 COVID-19 induced hiatus
- The Crimson Tide also holds the NCAA record when it comes to regional team titles with 32
- This year marks the third time that Alabama has traveled to Seattle for a regional, following trips in 2012 and 2014
- With the cancellation of the 2020 postseason due to COVID-19, this will be just the fourth time the four-session format has been used and just the third time that only eight teams, instead of the traditional 12, will advance to the final site, which will be held in Ft. Worth, Texas, April 14-16
