BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama graduate Lexi Graber was named the SEC Gymnastics Specialist of the Week after tying her career-best score on the floor exercise to lead the Crimson Tide to a win over then-No. 9 Missouri last Friday, the league office announced Tuesday.
Graber posted a career-best tying 9.975 to win the floor exercise and lead the Tide to its sixth-consecutive 197-plus score of the season, a 197.500, to down the Tigers. Graber also posted her second-consecutive 9.900 on the balance beam to tie for third place.
This week marks the fourth weekly SEC award for the Crimson Tide, with Graber joining Lilly Hudson, who has earned a trio of SEC Freshman of the Week honors (1/25, 2/15, 2/22).
Graber and the Crimson Tide close out the regular season this weekend, facing Arkansas Friday at 7 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum on Senior Night, before returning to action Sunday in Huntsville, Ala., at Elevate the Stage, a quad meet that will also feature Auburn, Arkansas and Georgia.
