BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama's Lilly Hudson was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Fleming Island, Fla., earned a trio of top-3 finishes in the win over Georgia. She won the floor exercise with a 9.950, matching her career-best mark after coming up following an injury in Alabama's previous floor routine.
Hudson also registered a career-best 9.900 on the uneven bars to take a share of third place, along with a 9.875 on the balance beam to finish third in the event, helping the Crimson Tide to its fourth consecutive 197+ score.
Hudson and the Tide are on the road this weekend, taking on LSU in Baton Rouge, Friday at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.
