The Crimson Tide fell 6-1 to the Sooners on Friday night
NORMAN, Okla. –– The Alabama men's tennis team (3-5) fell 6-1 on the road to No. 19 Oklahoma (9-1) Friday at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
The Match
- Enzo Aguiard led the Tide in singles play, recording the team's lone point with a 6-2, 7-6(5) win over No. 53 Alex Martinez at No. 2
- No. 41 Filip Planinsek battled through three sets, falling to No. 45 Mason Beiler 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the top of the order
- Oklahoma secured an early advantaged, capturing the doubles point with a 6-3 win on court one followed by a 6-4 victory on court three
- In singles, the Sooners captured a 6-3, 6-1 win on court five before taking a 6-1, 6-4 victory on court four
- Oklahoma would clinch the match with a 6-4, 6-3 victory on court six
