TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama gymnastics team will host its Crimson and White Preview Friday night at 7 p.m. CT inside of Coleman Coliseum. The event is free to all fans and will give fans a sneak peek at this year's team.
The event will be in a modified dual meet format, with Alabama's roster divided into two teams for the showcase. The preview will also give Alabama fans their first look at the Tide's six-member freshman class, consisting of Karis German, Gabby Gladieux, Zoe Gravier, Lillian Lewis, Lauren Little and Rachel Rybicki.
This year's squad consists of 18 gymnasts, made up of 12 returners and six rookies. Alabama's veterans will be led by returning All-Americans Luisa Blanco, Shallon Olsen, Makarri Doggette and Lilly Hudson. Blanco, a 12-time All-American, was the 2021 SEC Gymnast of the Year and the 2021 NCAA Balance Beam Champion.
The Crimson Tide will open its season at home against No. 12 Michigan State on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. CT.
Season tickets and single meet tickets are currently available through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262), located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum, or online at RollTide.com.
Head Coach Ashley Johnston said
"I'm so excited to get out there in Coleman Coliseum and have our fans see the team for the first time this season. We're really looking forward to having our six freshmen get out there and gain some experience. We also have six seniors who have a wealth of experience, and they're going to be able to show off some new combos and skills. Overall, I think fans can expect to see a lot of gymnastics. We're going to be testing some depth and getting new routines out there, and we're really looking forward to it."
